Coverack or Porthkovrek, meaning cove of the stream, is a coastal village and fishing port in Cornwall it lies in the parish of St Keverne, on the east side of the Lizard peninsula The area is a centre for watersports. The nearby rocks known as the Manacles have been the site of many shipwrecks and as a consequence are now a favourite diving destination. It has the most intriguing geology and is one of the few places in the world where the ocean crust and the mantle are exposed on the earth’s surface
