Truro is Cornwall’s only City as the southernmost city in mainland Britain, Truro grew as a centre of trade from its port and then as a stannary town for the tin mining industry. Its cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary was designed in a Gothic Revival design by John Loughborough Pearson and completed in 1910. It is one of only three cathedrals in the United Kingdom with three spires.[1]
